J.B. Pritzker Hiding Information On Inherited Family Trusts Because He’s Using Them To Avoid Taxes

“[Pritzker’s] clearly withholding information on huge family trusts” that are designed to protect his inherited wealth from taxes

After over 200 days of delay, J.B. Pritzker released a portion of his income tax returns, but his disclosed tax records raise more questions than answers.

Pritzker’s tax returns revealed that the vast majority of his income comes from inherited family trusts, not from salary income, business investments, or interest. Between 2014 and 2016, Pritzker paid $8.236 million in taxes on $29.6 million of declared personal income.

Those taxes pale in comparison to the income Pritzker derived from his inherited family trusts. During that same time period, Pritzker paid $128.97 million in federal taxes and $24.95 million in Illinois taxes on those trusts.

Unlike his opponent Chris Kennedy, why has Pritzker refused to answer questions on his family trusts?

Years of investigation and inquiry have revealed that the Pritzker family famously utilized trusts to protect their wealth from taxes and IRS scrutiny.

It’s clear – J.B. Pritzker is obfuscating on income derived from his inherited family trusts because he’s trying to hide the fact that he’s been avoiding taxes for years.

J.B. Pritzker’s campaign for governor is reaching the height of hypocrisy. Pritzker is advocating for yet another income tax hike on middle class families while cutting corrupt deals to slash his property taxes and using trusts to avoid taxes.

As Rich Miller said about J.B. Pritzker’s use of family trusts in his weekly column, This ain’t over.

J.B. Pritzker’s Investments Reveal His Deceptions

Despite telling the Sierra Club he is for 100% ‘clean energy,’ Pritzker maintains investments in Big Oil

J.B. Pritzker’s mouth is writing checks even his wallet can’t cash.

In yesterday’s Chicago Sun-Times report, it was revealed that Pritzker continues to hold investments in industries that don’t line up with his own rhetoric.

From the Sun-Times:

“Pritzker’s extensive filing — 10 pages of hundreds of stocks, mutual funds partnership and membership interests — shows a partnership interest in Energy Transfer Partners LP, a pipeline operator that constructed and is a part-owner of the Dakota Access Pipeline, which carries oil underground from North Dakota all the way to an oil tank farm near Patoka, Ill.

” … Pritzker also has a partnership interest in Niagara Casino Group, LP and a stock in A.N.P. Gaming Corporation. The Pritzker family has part ownership of the Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin. Pritzker, too, invests in big oil, with stocks in Exxon Mobil Corp. and Chevron Corp.”

But just last month at a Sierra Club Forum, Pritzker repeatedly proclaimed the ‘evils of fossil fuels,’ saying things like:

“We’ve got to stand up to them. Our endeavor must be to say no when they say it’s ok if we pollute the air and make it harder to breath to stand up for the profits of the fossil fuel industry.”

“This idea of profits over people we have to do away with.”

“I believe we need that clean energy technology here in Illinois… in order to get to that 100% clean energy goal.”

Watch HERE.

Pritzker continues to lie to Illinoisans, regardless of their party preference. Pritzker’s incessant hypocrisy is proof that he is the wrong choice for Illinois.

ILGOP Releases Digital Ad: Tax Hike

Pritzker’s recent interviews have made his commitment to more tax hikes clearer than ever before

Today, the Illinois Republican Party released a new digital adTax Hike. The ad highlights the undeniable link between J.B. Pritzker and Mike Madigan and their support for even more tax hikes in Illinois.

In a recent interview, Pritzker made his view on taxes clear: “Illinois may need another tax hike to balance the books and pay for needed public investments, even if the progressive income tax eventually comes about. That was the fiscal bottom line from Democratic gubernatorial hopeful J.B. Pritzker…”

Pritzker and Madigan have long been advocates for increased taxes. When asked by a reporter if his plan is “just for tax increases,” Madigan laughs and dodges the question, while J.B. Pritzker refuses to admit that people are leaving Illinois because of Madigan’s track record of tax hikes.

Despite a 32% tax hike earlier this year with no reforms to state government, Pritzker and Madigan continue to push for higher taxes on Illinois families. Our state cannot afford more taxes on our citizens.

Now is the time to stop Pritzker and Madigan. No more tax hikes.

Following Madigan’s Lead, J.B. Pritzker Supports Another Income Tax Hike on Every Illinoisan

In latest interview, Pritzker states his support for yet another tax increase

“Illinois may need another tax hike to balance the books and pay for needed public investments, even if the progressive income tax eventually comes about.

“That was the fiscal bottom line from Democratic gubernatorial hopeful J.B. Pritzker today as the Chicago entrepreneur and investor, who’s moved ahead in some recent polls, met with Crain’s Editorial Board for a wide-ranging interview.”

That is how Greg Hinz’s Monday column on J.B. Pritzker column begins. Pritzker continues to mirror his patron Mike Madigan when it comes to taxes, promoting even higher taxes despite Madigan’s 32% tax hike on Illinois families earlier this year.

Madigan muscled through the increase this summer, and if he has his way, will continue to raise taxes.

This comes as no surprise, as Madigan has stated a tax increase to 5% is a “good place to begin.”

This all while Pritzker continues to dodge releasing his own tax returns. It has been 221 days since Pritzker pledged to release his taxes, but he continues to hide behind empty promises of ‘soon.’

When it comes to raising taxes, Pritzker is lock step with Madigan: more taxes, no reform.

Pritzker Still Silent on His Support for Joe Berrios as Democrats Oppose Berrios’ Re-Election

Pritzker’s silence is the price of support from Madigan’s Chicago Machine

“J.B. Pritzker’s silence on Joe Berrios is stunning, but not surprising. The Berrios-led Cook County Democrats were one of Pritzker’s early backers. Even worse, Pritzker received a $230,000 property tax break from Berrios on his Chicago mansion after ripping out the toilets. It’s clear – J.B. Pritzker will do anything to line his pockets and win an election, even if it means supporting corrupt politicians like Joe Berrios.” – Illinois Republican Party Spokesman Aaron DeGroot

Cook County Commissioner Jesus “Chuy” Garcia is the latest Cook County Democrat to oppose Cook County Assessor Joe Berrios’ re-election.

Berrios has been under fire for running what is essentially a property tax racket and Democrats like “Chuy” Garcia, Heather Steans, David Orr, and Chris Kennedy want nothing to do with him.

But there’s been one notable Democrat who has been silent on Joe Berrios – J.B. Pritzker – and it’s no surprise. Pritzker owes a lot to Berrios.

The Cook County Democratic Party, an organization chaired by Berrios, endorsed J.B. Pritzker’s campaign for governor in what some Democrats called a” backroom deal“.

Even worse, Pritzker was embroiled in a property tax scandal of his own where he ripped the toilets out of his multi-million dollar Chicago mansion to get a $230,000 property tax break from Berrios. Pritzker’s property tax appeals attorneys have given over $100,000 in campaign cash to Joe Berrios’ various political organizations.

J.B. Pritzker will do anything to line his pockets and win the Democratic nomination for governor, even if it means getting in bed with Madigan’s Chicago Machine and turning a blind eye to corrupt politicians like Joe Berrios.

Mike Frerichs is “Standing Tall” for Mike Madigan’s Handpicked Candidate

With a record of standing in Madigan’s shadow, no surprise Frerichs has lined up with Pritzker

“With yet another Madigan ally lining up behind Pritzker, it is clear that the Madigan Machine will stop at nothing to secure the nomination for Pritzker. Mike Frerichs has repeatedly stood with Madigan to gerrymander legislative maps and hike taxes on Illinois families. Now, Frerichs plans to do the same with J.B. Pritzker, Mike Madigan’s handpicked candidate for governor.” – Illinois Republican Party Spokesman Aaron DeGroot

On Wednesday, Mike Madigan ally and tax-hike supporter Mike Frerichs endorsed J.B. Pritzker for Governor. The announcement comes as no surprise as Frerichs has a record of blocking reform to protect Madigan’s power.

During his time in the Illinois Senate, Frerichs voted in support of Madigan’s gerrymandering of legislative district maps.

Frerichs also voted for the 67% Quinn-Madigan tax hike that put an increased strain on Illinois families already grossly overtaxed by Democrats in Springfield.

Madigan’s Tax Hike Team is back at it, adding one more name to the growing list of Madigan cronies backing his handpicked candidate for governor, J.B. Pritzker.

Pritzker Changes Tune on Tax Returns: From ‘Will Release Soon’ to ‘Will Release Soon’

Pritzker continues to obfuscate his tax returns under the guise of transparency

“Pritzker’s team has finally clarified their statements for the past 7 months that his tax returns will be released ‘soon’ by kicking the can down the road yet again. Pritzker is trying to hide, but Illinois voters will remain skeptical in the face of his deception.” – Illinois Republican Party Spokesman Aaron DeGroot

J.B. Pritzker announced on Wednesday that he would be releasing his tax returns at the filing deadline, or in other words, ‘soon.’

Pritzker has continuously strung along Illinois voters for 7 months by promising the exact same thing, and yet we have still seen nothing.

The possibilities are endless for what might be found in his tax returns, especially since Pritzker’s sister was recently caught stashing assets in offshore interests.

If Pritzker really does release his tax returns ‘soon,’ we’ll believe it when we see it.

Three Strikes, You’re Out

After a baseball season’s delay, Pritzker has yet to deliver on his promise to release tax returns

Today is the 214th day since J.B. Pritzker pledged to release his tax returns. 214 days is exactly how long the 2017 Major League Baseball season lasted from Opening Day (April 2) to Game 7 of the World Series (November 1). Let’s take a look at some of the things that happened in that 214 day span:

214 days is 5,136 hours which is enough time to play 1,712 games (assuming the average duration of a baseball game is approximately 3 hours).

In the MLB, each team averages about 146 pitches per game, meaning that in this 214 day span with 1,712 games, there would be approximately 499,904 pitches.

But enough hypotheticals, let’s look at some stats.

In that span, the Chicago Cubs played 172 baseball games, and (not including playoffs) had 5,496 at bats resulting in 1,402 hits and pitched 1,447.1 innings.

The Chicago White Sox played 162 games, had 5,513 at bats and 1,412 hits, with a collective 1,421.2 innings pitched.

A lot of things can happen over the span of 214 days, but J.B. Pritzker can’t get his taxes done?

WATCH: J.B. Pritzker AGAIN Dodges on Releasing His Tax Returns

208 days since Pritzker first pledged to make his tax returns public

“While his sister was just caught parking assets offshore, J.B. Pritzker continues to hide his tax returns from the public. We already know he schemed with crooked Democrat insiders to slash the property tax bill on his Chicago mansion by over $230,000. It’s time for him to come clean.” – Illinois Republican Party Spokesman Aaron DeGroot

After receiving the endorsement from yet another career politician who’s loyal to Madigan, J.B. Pritzker was again asked when he will be releasing his tax returns.

Watch Pritzker continue to dodge on releasing his tax returns HERE.

Pritzker’s response? “It’s somewhat complex… We’re working on it… We’ll get it done soon.”

That’s the same response Pritzker gave nearly a month ago around when tax returns were due to the federal government.

208 days have passed since J.B. Pritzker first pledged to release his taxes returns.

Other Democrats have already challenged Pritzker on his obfuscation, and Illinois voters are demanding to see what Pritzker is hiding.

We already know that Pritzker has gamed the system to receive a $230,000 tax break on his Chicago mansion thanks to the help of his fellow crooked Democrat insider Joe Berrios.

What is J.B. Pritzker hiding?

Well, J.B., we’re waiting…

On April 14thJ.B. Pritzker pledged to release his tax returns ‘soon.’ Now, six months later, we’re hearing the same old promises from Pritzker, who continues to stall and hope this goes away.

Other Democrats have already challenged Pritzker on his obfuscation, and Illinois voters are demanding to see what Pritzker is hiding.

We already know that he has gamed the system through fellow Madigan crony Joe Berrios so he could receive a $230,000 tax break on his Gold Coast Chicago mansion.

What else might Pritzker be hiding? If you ask Pritzker, we’ll find out ‘soon.’
