In an interview with WQAD last night, outgoing Democratic Rep. Mike Smiddy explained how Mike Madigan’s control of the House “stops any major legislative reforms” from passing.
Smiddy then remarked that getting rid of Speaker Madigan is “not a bad idea” and that “he’s kind of outlived his usefulness in Springfield.”
